Welcome to the Kilkenny Pony Club!

The Kilkenny Hunt Pony Club is now a medium sized and very active branch of the Irish Pony Club.  Our membership has currently fallen to below 60 members, mostly from the county of Kilkenny. Now is the time to consider joining our club as we have lots of room for new members!!.  The Irish Pony Club is the main equestrian organisation for providing training in all disciplines of equestrian activities in the Country.  There are close on sixty branches spread throughout the country.  There are over 4,000 members between the ages of five and twenty-three.

Members enjoy a range of equestrian activities, including, rallies, camp, hunting, showjumping, eventing, dressage, games, minimus, tetrathlon, etc, under the ethos of the Irish Pony Club.

The objectives of the Irish Pony Club are the same today as they were when the Pony Club was first established and they are as follows:

  • To encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with ponies and riding.

  • To give instruction in riding and horsemanship and to educate members to look after and to take proper care of their animals.

  • To promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty, and to create strength of character and self discipline.

Pony Club membership is open to girls and boys up to 23 years of age.

Ordinary membership for those who have not attained 18 years of age.

Associate membership for 18 to 21 years.

Senior Associate membership for 21 to 23 years.

We welcome new members and invite you now to explore our website by clicking on the links at the side of the page. If you are interested in becoming a member of our branch, click here for a membership form.
